Seldom has a Sequoia golfer achieved his consistent success over four years—from 1975 through 1978. During that period, he won all-league honors twice, and led the Cherokees to the school’s first SPAL titles in 1977-78. His season scoring average of 76.3 reflected noteworthy consistency, and his dedication was apparent through participation in every match during his Sequoia career. As a senior, his eye-opening 54 at Emerald Hills keyed a title-winning triumph over heralded Menlo School. After graduation, Ron migrated up the hill to play for Coach Jerry Drever at Canada College.
