Although a year younger than most of his classmates, he compiled a memorable performance record as a three-sport star, earning multiple all-league honors and selected captain by his football teammates in 1982-83. His exploits in basketball and baseball translated to MVP selections, as well. More recently, he has turned his athletic expertise to coaching youngsters throughout the community, in the Redwood City Little League, at St. Pius School and Kennedy Middle School.
