Three times All League in varsity baseball. Led league in ERA and strikeouts (77 in 57 innings) in 1992 and was 9-1, with a 2.33 ERA and 77 strikeouts as Cherokees won the first Central Coast Section title in school history. Had three wins and a save and batted .358 in CCS Tournament. Elected team captain for three years and was team Most Valuable Player once. Played baseball at College of San Mateo for two years before injuring his arm.
